The Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Short Courses Program is focused on safety and licensing training!

About the Short Course program

The Short Courses program provides funding to assist with upskilling and cross skilling existing workers in the building and construction industry. The training focuses on the safety, regulatory and licensing requirements of the industry and can provide you with a range of competencies that employers need. As the program name suggests, our Short Courses are designed to get you up-skilled fast.

  3. Check the eligibility criteria and maximum funding contribution for the program
  4.  Find contact details for RTOs delivering the course you are interested in, in the right location for you.

How does funding work?

CSQ funding is paid directly to Gold Coast Trades College as a contribution towards the cost of services to reduce the cost for participants. Participants are expected to contribute towards the cost of the course. We will assess your eligibility for funding and will advise you of the costs you will need to meet.

Short Courses

Cost to participant: Admin fee $50 per course 

All funding is subject to the participants’ eligibility. All participants will have to complete an Expression of Interest form so we can check they are eligible for the funding.

Higher Level Skills

Cost to Participant: Admin fee $300 per qualification

All funding is subject to the participants’ eligibility. All participants will have to complete an Expression of Interest form so we can check they are eligible for the funding.

Enrolment in these Higher Level Skills must be completed before 30th September 2016. You will have 12 months to complete your course.

Skills Assessment & Gap Training

Cost to participant: Admin fee $300 per qualification

All funding is subject to the participants’ eligibility. All participants will have to complete an Expression of Interest form so we can check they are eligible for the funding.

CSQ Funding Assessment funding rate $1000 per assessment. Gap Training funding rate: $6.75 per nominal hour up to max of 8 Gap Training Competencies or max of 500 Nominal Hours
