CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry

(Construction Industry White Card)

At Gold Coast Trades College our White Card Course covers the unit of competency ‘CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work safely in the construction industry’ which is compulsory for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry. Australian regulations state that you must complete Work Health & Safety (WHS) general construction induction training before you can start work in any construction activity.

We offer White Card training Face to Face at schools, community facilities and job active agencies on the Gold Coast, Ipswich and Brisbane as well as at our Gold Coast Campus, 6 Hayter Street, Currumbin Waters.

Objective of White Card Construction Training

A White Card earned with Gold Coast Trades College is a nationally recognised qualification and designed to help you increase your knowledge base and to be eligible to work in a variety of safety and construction fields. A White Card is mandatory for all construction and building site visitors and employees.

CSQ Eligibility requirements

1. Are you an Australian or New Zealand Citizen OR permanent resident OR A Visa holder with permission to work and study in Australia?

You are not eligible for CSQ funding please select the Fee for Service course/ticket type

2. Are you an employee or self employed worker, substantially engaged, in the Queensland residential building and construction industry doing:

  • Construction, renovations and extensions of residential and commercial buildings
  • Installation services for interiors of residential and commercial buildings in associated trades; electrical, plumbing, flooring etc
  • Works on a CSQ designated Major Project – construction of infrastructure?

OR

Are you an employee or self-employed workers, substantially engaged, in the Queensland civil construction industry doing:

  • Land development and site preparation for the purpose of construction
  • Works for civil infrastructure
  • Works on a CSQ designated Major Project – construction of infrastructure?
