Who can access the subsidy?

Participants in the Queensland Building & Construction industry who meet all the participant & program eligibility requirements

Please answer the following questions:

a. Green Medicare Card (Current) or My.gov Medicare snapshot OR

b. Australia or New Zealand Passport (up to 6 months after the expiry date) OR

c. Australian or New Zealand Full Birth Certificate or extract (a commemorative birth certificate cannot be accepted) or Australia Citizenship Certificate

Employer letter on letter head, dated and signed by the employer which confirms:

a) the participant has the right to work in Australia and undertake study; AND

b) the visa number; AND

c) the participant has been employed for 6 months or more

CSQ Eligibility Checker - Are you an Eligible Worker?

An eligible worker is someone who is employed or a self-employed worker, substantially engaged in the following industry priorities:

The Queensland Building and Construction industry doing:

a) construction, significant renovations and extensions of, residential and commercial buildings

b) installation services for interiors of residential and commercial buildings in associated trades: electrical, plumbing, flooring etc

c) works on a CSQ designated Major Project - construction of infrastructure

The Queensland Civil Construction industry doing

a) land development and site preparation for the purpose of construction

b) works for civil infrastructure

c) works on a CSQ designated Major Project - construction of infrastructure

1. Copy of ABN/ACN registration showing ownership (it is a requirement to collect a copy of the certificate of registration, a downloaded copy is not sufficient) AND invoices for recent work in the industry

OR

2. Statutory Declaration providing details of business registration and recent work in the industry

1. Employer letter on letter head, dated and signed by the employer which confirms:

a) the role of the participant

b) the duties being undertaken by the participant and location of the works that demonstrate substantial engagement in the industry in Queensland. Duties must be listed, and no generic statements should be used.

OR

2. Copy of relevant QBCC or ESO licence with confirmation that the participant is undertaking duties that demonstrate substantial engagement in the industry. It is a requirement to collect a copy of the licence, an online check printed from a website is not sufficient. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide a copy of the licence

OR

3. A Statutory Declaration providing details of employment which would ordinary be on the Employer letter
