Course Overview

The CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry equips apprentices with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to become a qualified carpenter. This nationally recognised qualification is delivered through a blend of on-the-job training and structured learning with our experienced trainers.

You will learn how to:

  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from timber and other materials
  • Interpret and apply building plans, codes, and regulations
  • Carry out concreting, formwork, and framing tasks
  • Work effectively and safely in a construction environment

Duration: Typically 3–4 years as an apprenticeship
Delivery: Combination of workplace training and block/structured training at our campus
Entry Requirements: Must be employed as an apprentice carpenter and have a signed training contract

Successful completion leads to recognition as a qualified carpenter, with the potential to apply for a builder’s licence (subject to additional requirements in your state).
